42 Fast Buds – Orange Sherbet Auto
Super sour. Citrus-loaded. And completely "frosty".
Orange Sherbet Auto is a sativa-dominant autoflower genetic from 42 Fast Buds, bred for extremely sour citrus terpenes, heavy resin production, and fast, reliable performance. In its 2023 iteration, the breeder describes the strain as bigger, stronger, and more resilient – with an even sweeter, creamier orange sherbet flavor that feels both fresh and dessert-like.
With up to 26% THC (breeder data), it delivers a pronounced, sativa-driven presence. At the same time, according to the data sheet, it is a true sativa giant: 110–150 cm in height and up to 500–650 g/m² indoors in 9–10 weeks (seed-to-harvest). Outdoors, 60–300 g per plant are possible.
Visually, Orange Sherbet Auto features light green, spade-shaped buds with thick orange hairs – covered in so many trichomes that the flowers eventually look nearly white. Breaking them open releases a distinct aroma of mandarin/orange juice, accompanied by a sharp-sour, funky, slightly gassy background with subtle earth/pine.
What makes this autoflower special
-
Citrus terpene monster: fresh-pressed mandarin & orange juice, plus a sweet and sour sherbet finish.
-
Extractor favorite: "insane amount of resin" on buds and surrounding leaves – ideal for dry-sift/water hash & extracts.
-
Sativa-dominant giant: 110–150 cm (XXL) with strong stretch and many bud sites.
-
High yield potential: 500–650 g/m² indoors in 9–10 weeks.
-
Resilient & beginner-friendly: according to the breeder, "easy to maintain" and very robust, both indoors and outdoors.
Character & Structure
Orange Sherbet Auto grows with typical sativa speed and can get very tall – with larger internodal spacing and an overall bushy, leafy structure. Because of the bud weight, the breeder recommends support during flowering.
Aroma & Flavor
Flavor (official): Cream, Orange, Sour, Sweet
In profile, this means: a cocktail of orange juice + sweet & sour mandarin sherbet. On the exhale, it becomes more tropical/fruity, with a strong, pine-like background.
Grow Notes
The breeder recommends LST to give lower shoots more light, and support during flowering (e.g., bamboo stakes) so that branches do not give way under the bud weight. According to the data sheet, the strain is very "resinous," so trimmings + buds are highly suitable for hash/extracts.
