Sweet Seeds – Mimosa × Chimera #3
Orange, mandarin and diesel – Mimosa takes on a particularly resinous side
Mimosa × Chimera #3 from Sweet Seeds combines two genetics that bring different focuses to the table, even by name alone. Mimosa stands for intense citrus and fruit notes, while Chimera #3 primarily complements it with a dense flower structure and a heavy resin coating.
The Mimosa side dates back to Clementine × Purple Punch. Accordingly, the aroma profile is clear: orange and mandarin take center stage, accompanied by ripe fruit and a pleasant sweetness. Added to this are creamy and slightly spicy notes as well as a hint of diesel in the background.
The result is not a pure citrus variety. It is precisely the mixture of fresh orange, creamy sweetness, and a slightly gassy base that gives Mimosa × Chimera #3 more depth. The fruity character remains clearly recognizable, making the strain particularly interesting for anyone looking for modern genetics with a clear citrus focus.
The cross also has plenty to offer visually. The flowers develop densely and compactly and are covered by a distinct layer of trichomes. The heavy resin coating is one of the most striking features of this limited edition.
With 55% Sativa and 45% Indica, Mimosa × Chimera #3 is slightly sativa-dominant, but remains quite balanced overall. The plants reach a medium height and develop a strong, well-branched structure.
The flowering period is approximately 8 to 9 weeks. Indoors, yields are stated to be about 400 to 550 g/m². Outdoors, under suitable conditions, about 400 to 600 g per plant are possible.
Sweet Seeds offers this cross as a feminized, photoperiodic limited edition. The original pack contains 5 feminized seeds.
Mimosa × Chimera #3 is therefore primarily a genetic choice for fans of clear citrus profiles: orange, mandarin, and sweet fruit meet creamy, spicy, and slightly diesel-like notes. Added to this are compact flowers, plenty of resin, and a flowering period of around eight to nine weeks.
