ACE Seeds – Zamaldelica Feminized
Zamal × Malawi/Thai – African Sativa genetics with mango, orange, and sweet carrot
Zamaldelica Feminized by ACE Seeds is a cross consistently focused on Sativa genetics, combining Zamal × Malawi/Thai. This feminized, photoperiod F3 hybrid blends a selected Zamal line from La Réunion with the Malawi/Thai side of Golden Tiger, making it one of the more genetically unique varieties in the ACE Seeds catalog.
At the heart of its lineage is Zamal, a traditional Sativa population from the island of La Réunion in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar. From this, ACE Seeds selected a mother with particularly strong vitality, a relatively fast flowering time, and an unusual aromatic profile.
This Zamal selection was combined with Golden Tiger. Through Golden Tiger, Malawi and Thai genetics are integrated into Zamaldelica. This creates a cross that relies entirely on Sativa origins without simply representing a single landrace.
Accordingly, ACE Seeds classifies Zamaldelica as 100% Sativa and an F3 semi-stabilized hybrid.
Aromatically, the strain stands out significantly from modern dessert, gas, and candy hybrids. One of the most characteristic accents is sweet carrot – an unusual feature of the Zamal mother used.
This is joined by ripe mango and orange. The tropical fruit aspect is accompanied by floral and resinous notes, resulting in a profile strongly influenced by its African-Asian ancestry.
It is precisely this combination of mango, orange, sweet carrot, flowers, and resin that makes Zamaldelica so unique within a modern assortment. Instead of classic Cookies or Kush aromas, the focus here is on a much more exotic Sativa signature.
Structurally, too, Zamaldelica clearly shows its genetic background. ACE Seeds describes the plants as extremely bushy, heavily branched, medium-height Sativas.
The side branches play an important role and can develop very vigorously. According to the breeder, the strain responds exceptionally well to horizontal plant training and possesses high vegetative vitality.
The flowering time is longer by modern standards, taking approximately 11–14 weeks indoors. This corresponds to the classic Sativa orientation of the genetics.
Outdoors, ACE Seeds specifies a harvest time ranging from approximately the third week of October to November, depending on conditions and phenotype. According to the breeder, the strain has been successfully cultivated in both temperate regions and relatively cooler climates.
The line's robustness is also interesting. ACE Seeds reports a high resistance to powdery mildew and a very high resistance to Botrytis. Heat is also tolerated relatively well.
Zamaldelica is therefore aimed at collectors who are looking for genetics beyond just current US hybrids. Zamal from La Réunion meets Malawi and Thai – combined with an unusual profile of mango, orange, sweet carrot, flowers, and resin, as well as a distinctively classic Sativa structure.
